I always find spring so exciting and refreshing, which always inspires some new artwork.
While we still have massive black piles of dirt caked snow gracing the sides of our streets and corners of our parking lots (so so gross), the kids are already running around the back yards in t-shirts.
Sign of life is finally returning. A welcome warm relief after months of cold and darkness!
A few days ago we were able to finally enjoy our new back yard. While the kids were digging in mud like two happy pigs, I sat on the back porch and cranked out some new and rather bright watercolor paintings/illustrations.
It was a nice break from the wedding planning. (Which has actually been SO much fun by the way. I had just spent the weekend finishing up invitations and mailing them out though, so I did need a break!)
I'll post some wedding preparation photos soon...including a really gorgeous paper flower tutorial:)
You know how much I love coming here to see what you are painting or carving or making? Would you just post something everyday :) I mean c'mon, are you planning a wedding or somthing :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck and I can't wait to see photos.
I love the poppies. They are all so colorful but there's something about the watery colors of the poppies that seems really right to me right now. Lovely stuff!
ReplyDeleteLove the poppies SO much!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cheerful and just in time for Spring. Oh and weddings are so exciting to plan. My favorite part is the decor and invitations :) Wishing you all the best on the wedding!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are so adorable! I love the bright cheery colors and sweet images. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteWow - I want them all!
ReplyDeleteI love watercolours, it's something I never tried and I admire so much, the poppies are the best I think, but the whale is so cute too!
